Let’s say a little bit about how such a spa week in Karlovy Vary look likes and what is to be expected. Carlsbad is a town of remedial springs, rich history, glamorous architecture and beautiful countryside. From time out of mind, springs rise in the valley of the Teplá river. The Carlsbad balneology, over 600 years old, is built upon its curative effects. Even though the ways of balneological treatment have developed over the centuries, there is one thing that remains – positive results for the endless generations of those looking for their lost well-being. In general, the spa treatment works according to the following scheme:
Arrival to the hotel – entrance examination by spa doctor – prescription of spa treatments (in average 1-2 daily, usually one in after breakfast, one in the afternoon) – spa week (treatments, drinking cure of mineral springs) – final examination by spa doctor – getting a medical conclusion – departure from the hotel.
According to this, we recommend to our guest to book at least half board. It would be really complicated to go for lunch somewhere else than where the treatments and accommodations are. Following hotels have the clinic and
the spa area in their own houses, guests go for treatment directly from their rooms with a bath robe only. Full board is not necessary; guests can go for a walk and eat in the town centre or use the offer of other complementary program.
There is a big offer of complementary activities like visit to other spa town in West Bohemia – Mariánské Lázně, Františkovy Lázně, Loket and others. Golf players can enjoy many golf courses. There is also a possibility of horse riding or fishing.
